Why is juicing important? Can’t I just eat the whole fruit?

The body takes much longer to digest and process the whole food completely. When you juice highly concentrated nutrients enter the bloodstream quickly and there is rapid assimilation of fruit.

Do I need a Juicer or can I use a blender for juicing?

A blender does not extract the juice from the fiber it only purees the fiber with the juice. Using a juicer gives you pure juice separated from the fiber. Use blenders for fruits like banana, papaya and also for making smoothies.

Are fibers lost when you juice a fruit?

Fibers are very essential to the body and many diseases. Fibers stimulate the digestive system and are a key component in maintaining a healthy digestive tract. Use the fibers from your juicer in soups, batters, and rice dishes.

For any other left over fiber you could compost it along with other biodegradable food and see your gardens flourish.

Can I get the nutrients I need from a vitamin pill?

Nutrients in fruits and vegetables are more potent than in pills. When taken in naturally, the body assimilates them much more readily than when in the form of a pill.

It is therefore recommended that if you do need to take a particular supplement, take it along with juices that are highest in that nutrient for better absorption.

Can seeds and fruit rind be used in the juicer?

Most small seeds are fine, but fruits with hard pits like peach, cherries and nectarine should be removed. If you use organic fruits and vegetable, you can use the skin while juicing depending on the fruit.

Are fresh juices portable? Can I preserve the juice?

You can keep the cold juice in a thermos so that you can have cold refreshing juice on the go. It is recommended to freshly squeeze the juice just before drinking, however for convenience sake you can freeze the juice in an ice tray and defrost it when needed.

Can I use frozen vegetables and fruits?

It is recommended that you use fresh fruits and vegetables. If not available you can use frozen fruits and vegetables. In order to achieve optimum juice you should thaw your vegetables and fruits prior to juicing.
